Patient - RoPCA interaction
The significance of ROPCA for patients with rheumathoid arthritis
To achieve insight into possible barriers within a group of patients with rheumatoid arthritis, qualitative and quantitative studies have been preformed in this research. 32 patients with rheumatoid arthritis was interview and 171 answered online questionnaire. In the qualitative studie a majority of patients answered that they are willing to use the automated ultrasound scanning robot(RoPCA)
Interaction between patients and the robot
The research discovers that an interaction between patients and ROPCA is necessary when the majority of the patient’s considered communication and human contact as an important factor in relation to robots in hospitals. Therefore, there has been developed a suggested and relevant solution (info-screen), in collaboration with the patient’s ideas. Such an info-screen should inform the patient about the scanning process during the procedure and decrease the barriers between the robot and the patient.
